We are looking for an engaged and driven person to join our Mobile Core team. Telenor is rapidly heading towards the digital future and we are looking for people with a natural proactive drive who wish to make a difference.
What you'll do
You will become the NFVI platform champion in the Mobile Core team. We are responsible for development and operation of Telenor Sweden's mobile core network. This network is today based on traditional network nodes from well-known telecom suppliers. Now we have started the journey to virtualize the core network on private cloud platforms.
In this endeavor we need complementing competence in cloud platforms to make us succeed. You will be a leading member of the team when we design and bring the new virtual mobile core into operation and gradually increase the level of automation in all tasks pertaining to the VFVI/RTVE environment. You will work closely with colleagues in the Swedish organization as well as with colleagues in other Telenor units abroad.
Who are you
You have experience in designing virtual platforms, preferably in a Telecom environment but possibly in a traditional datacenter. You are familiar with OpenStack and Software-defined networking and are very familiar with Linux systems and IP networks. You are probably no stranger to scripting languages such as Python.
Experience from Nokia's CloudBand platform is an extra plus.
Knowledge about 3GPP based mobile networks is also a plus.
* You are a technical person who loves to learn new things but also likes to share your knowledge with others. You are a team player and love working in teams, are open to give and receive feedback and have positive attitude toward others
* You probably have a relevant University degree and some years of working experience in IT or Telecom
* Good understanding of English is a must, and good understanding of Swedish is an advantage
* You have a Swedish citizenship.
