The role

The main responsibility includes, but are not limited to,
• Lead the global finance organization to support the company strategy
• Develop and communicate the consolidated financial performance of Volvo Buses
• Secure that Volvo Buses follows applicable laws, regulations and guidelines regarding financial reporting and internal control
• Coordination responsibility for Volvo Buses' sustainability work and agenda

It is both a strategic and operational role that requires a cross-functional way of working. You will lead a team of 15 colleagues directly part of the finance function as well as keeping together the controller network at Volvo Buses. The position reports to the President of Volvo Buses and is a member of the executive leadership team as well as a member of Volvo Group Chief controller network.

Key Responsibilities

As CFO, you are a true business partner with high engagement in our business. The work includes a wide range of business aspects, from retail to complete solution sales, requiring a holistic view, working actively with risk management.

You are responsible for establishing Volvo Buses financial plans and results, supporting leadership and other stakeholders with financial analysis. Continuously improving quality and efficiency related to financial processes is expected. You will be in charge of developing, leading and following up activities to achieve the short-and long-term business targets, to support the Volvo Bus strategy, whilst also managing and developing financial steering and operating models.

Competence Profile & Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you should have experience from:
• Extensive experience (10+years) in financial roles having worked both on strategic and operational level in senior leadership positions
• Experience and a proven track record of managing finance activities supporting business targets
• Strong business acumen and ability to balance risk, reward, and priorities
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• High integrity and courage to drive and implement changes
• Successful in building excellent working relationships and operating effectively as a member of a leadership team.
• Excellent professional skills from working in roles in a fast paced, multicultural, and diverse environment
• Experience and proved track record of leading global finance teams

We believe the successful candidate has operational experience from working in a global business environment. You have a passion for business and an interest in people. You are known for your managerial courage, business acumen and trust - coupled with a strong execution mindset. You have strong interpersonal skills; you communicate in a clear and engaging way, and you facilitate cross-functional collaboration and networking.

You have a Master's degree or equivalent as the basis for your career and are fluent in English. The successful candidate will have shown a winning attitude and great persona in combination with a strong track record and references.

Location & Timeline

The position is based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Occasional travel is expected. The final date of sending your application is Aug 20th.
