This is us, your new colleaguesChassis Engineering Gothenburg is the department within Vehicle Engineering, responsible for developing the chassis solutions for the Volvo FH and FM trucks. It includes development and integration of the powertrain components, suspensions, brake and steering systems. The development also includes complete chassis optimization and suitability for body builders. As the Chief Engineer for Chassis Engineering Gothenburg you will lead a team of 7 group managers to deliver as well new chassis solutions as maintenance of current ones.Role descriptionIn this role you will be the Product owner of the full chassis with all its systems and components for the Volvo Trucks. You will work very tight with the Chassis Technology department that will provide platform components like suspensions and brake systems. You will also work together with other engineering functions as well as Purchasing and Manufacturing to secure good solutions. To do this you will lead a department with more than 100 highly skilled Engineers. As Chief Engineer you will be an important member of the Vehicle Engineering Gothenburg management team, and report to Vice President Vehicle Engineering Gothenburg. Required knowledge/experienceAs our preferred candidate, you have MSc in engineering as well as extensive experience from product development within the automotive industry.
