Thule Group continues to grow and we are in the most ambitious period in the company's history, in terms of product development investments in our traditional categories as well as in our newer categories such as Active With Kids (strollers, bike trailers, child bike seats and child carrier backpacks).
To enable this expansion, we are now strengthening our Engineering team with a Chief Engineer for the product category Bike Trailers.
Thule Bike Trailers are great for everyday commuting or long adventures - always providing a safe and comfortable ride for your loved ones whether it's biking or strolling.
As a Chief Engineer you are technically responsible for the products, and you lead the Design Engineering team in the day to day work both in new product development projects as well in product update projects.
The Chief Engineer secures a high level of quality in technical solutions and in their specifications in regards to mechanical performance, manufacturing methods, cost, appearance and compliance.
You will also work strategically since you will take an active part in our product portfolio planning.
In this role you will work with many contacts within and outside the company, such as product manager, project manager, industrial design, design-, test-, simulation- and production engineering, purchasing, quality, and suppliers.

To enjoy your new role in the organization you need a pro-active and entrepreneurial personality that thrives in a high speed and team oriented environment. We trust you have a structured and professional approach with flexibility in mind.
You have an academic engineering degree and minimum five years of relevant work experience in design engineering and/or product development of serial produced products.
You are confident in coordinating multiple technical tasks as well as motivating team members in their daily engineering work.
You have 3D-CAD (preferable Solidworks) and PDM-system competence.
Furthermore, since we have invested in a state of the art prototype workshop facility we believe you enjoy working hands-on when needed.
We believe that you are fluent in English (written and in speech) as we use it in our daily communication.
