The Engineering Quality section's mission/vision is to:
• Secure rigorous application of methods and tools
• Provide expertise in Volvo's core values, Quality, Safety and Environment
• Continuously develop and improve PE operations (VPS-PDP, RnD30, OD)
As Certification Engineer you will:
• Provide the truck and bus brands within AB Volvo with engine component certificates, technical documentation as applicable for each market, obtain and maintain engine component certificates.
• Provide emission and OBD regulation information with different level of details to the AB Volvo organization e.g. product planning departments and design & performance/ application engineers
• Regulatory support to PE regarding emissions durability matters.
• In-use emissions compliance, responsible for coordination of activities to confirm that Volvo Powertrain and the brands products on the field meet the legal and Volvo internal requirements
The following qualifications are required:
• Adequate technical education (MSc or similar)
• Good communication skills
• Experience from emission legislation for heavy duty engines
• Experience in emissions certification and compliance of On-Highway in Europe, US or other markets
