Job Description and target
We are looking for a Category Manager (Strategisk Inköpare) to our Strategic Sourcing department in Örebro.
The job as Category Manager includes the overall responsibility within different category areas, including suppliers to both Surface Drilling and Exploration products. You will work in close cooperation with a Supplier Development Engineer within your category area/s to secure the long term performance; total cost, service, flexibility and SHEQ. You are as Category Manager responsible for negotiating the overall terms and conditions with the supplier and to secure that the supplier fulfils all Epiroc requirements.
You need to have a great interest in working with Supplier Management including for example Risk management. You must have a good ability to build long-term relations and understand the communication needs between Epiroc and the suppliers.
You shall initiate and implement actions to meet our targets. We believe in proactive work for example by involving our suppliers already before a Design Notification is being realised in New Product Development (NPD) and Continue Product Improvements (CPI).
The communication and understanding of the overall business including all functions within SED is of great importance.
The Category Manager role also includes that you are prepared to be sub project leader, representing strategic sourcing in various NPD/Basic Development and to take on case holder responsibilities within Sourcing.
As Category Manager you will be part of the Strategic Sourcing Department in Örebro, we are currently a team of total 15 people. We are a dedicated team that care about each other, have a lot of fun and that likes to find new opportunities to develop continuously.

Experience requirements
Extensive experience within Strategic Sourcing. Project manager skills and/or other leadership skills are expected.
Educational requirements
You have a University degree in engineering and/or business administration. Fluent in both written and spoken English and Swedish.
Personality requirements
The person we are looking for must be well structured and with a strong drive to get the job completed.
You need to have a structured way of working. Processes and tools are in place to support you in your daily work. We welcome proposals that drive our development further.
You need to have a solid interest in engineering combined with sourcing.
Communications skills are essential for both internal and external contacts. We see that you are an outgoing person with great ability to work in team.
