Right now we’re looking for the right person to fill an open position as a Camera Designer in our New Video Products department within our Research & Development organization.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?

The New Video Products department is running the projects developing the new network video products according to Axis’ product roadmap. We are responsible for developing the complete products, based on our platforms to mass production. You will participate in these projects as a software engineer, where you will have great opportunities to influence the outcome of our development efforts.
At the moment we are looking for somebody to work with image quality combined with general software engineering in the development of our Fixed Dome Cameras.
In the role of Camera Designer, you will play an important part in our development projects for new network cameras. You will work in a department responsible for the development of fixed network cameras, from internal platform to mass production. Your responsibilities will include:
• Optimizing image quality in a camera development project
• Writing and executing image quality tests in our dedicated image quality labs
• Acting as the project’s contact person when it comes to image quality
• Software design, programming and maintenance, mainly imaging-related.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe you have a genuine interest in technology, photography and programming. You have an Engineering or Computer Science Master's degree or equivalent and experience in Linux/C embedded systems programming.
Furthermore, we think you are a creative, open-minded and result-oriented person that can work well on your own and in a team. You have a strong sense of responsibility and take initiative. Your communication and listening skills are excellent, in Swedish and English, both oral and in writing.
In addition to the above, experience from the following areas is desirable:
• Photography, optics, and image sensor technology (CMOS/CCD)
• Knowledge of image processing, e.g. filtering, colour reconstruction, scaling, binning, noise reduction, etc.
• Development of embedded systems, and use of advanced debugging tools
• Low-level programming, device drivers, etc.
