Calibration Engineer, Metrology

Maintenance, Investments & Metrology is a division of Vehicle Engineering responsible for the Maintenance, Investment & measurement within Product development. The Calibration department is responsible for the calibration of instruments such as mobile instruments and sensors and measuring equipment for permanent use in test facilities. We are at present ten staff employees responsible for the calibration of the instruments. Mobile measuring instruments are calibrated mainly on our calibration lab and rig fixed measuring equipment is calibrated on site in each rig. In those cases, we do not have our own calibration references/resources, we sent instruments for external calibration.

As a Calibration Engineer, your responsibilities will be to assure quality and traceability of the values generated in the analysis and the verification process. You will be introduced to all calibration methods that we are handling at the laboratory and after a training period you will be responsible for a calibration station. We need new competence to the instrument calibration lab where you will be one out of four engineers.

Main responsibilities

• Perform and develop calibration and calibration methods
• Ensure a quality which can withstand external audit of accuracy and traceability

Required qualifications

• Graduated from University or College (electrical engineering 180 p) or technical high school with some years of experience from calibration
• Experience in instrument and sensor calibration
• Experience in measurement and calibration tools such as a Met Cal, Comtest and PUMA
• Good knowledge in Swedish and English, speech and writing
• Meritorious knowledge in Axxos and Maximo
• Very good analytical skills concerning metrology issues
