hela Sverige Jotech Design AB, is a successful consulting firm in Gothenburg. We do missions globally, the latest we have opened a branch in China. We do assignments for mainly automotive, now we are looking for a number of wire harness engineer to England. To be placed/situated in The Midlands.
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Packaging and routing of vehicle EDS system within the 3D environment.
SCOPE OF THE POSITION
Responsibility to design appropriate routing and packaging of vehicle wire harnesses and associated components, within the limitations of customer SDS and Lear manufacturing requirements.
Reporting primarily to the CAD Team Leader and respective Technical Team Leader to execute the design requirements within the project timing requirements.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and package EDS, Wire Harnesses and associated components.
• To be aware of customer design requirements eg design manual, SDS etc.
• Preparing of engineering change proposals.
• Participating in customer and supplier design meetings.
• Virtual Build Support
• Issue Management for respective parts.
• Participating in Value Add/Value Effectiveness (VA/VE) workshops.
KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Technical Skills
Preferred
• Cost understanding
• Usage of SDRC IDEAS
• Trained and Certified to utilize Team Centre (TCe)
• Knowledge of harness installation requirements
• Knowledge of harness manufacturing requirements.
Required
• Engineering background
• CAD tool knowledge
• Certified to use CATIA version 5
• Certified to use Electrical Work Bench
• Knowledge of reading technical drawings.
• Knowledge of how to read and use engineering specifications.
• Knowledge Vehicle EDS systems in the 3D environment
Qualifications
Required
• TCe Certified
• CATIA V5 Certified
• CATIA EWB Certified
