Automotive represents a large part of today's invoicing through standard and engineered products. With interesting and challenging growth potential in the future, we are now looking for a person to fill the position as Business segment manager for Automotive. The location for this position is Sandviken.
Key performance areas
As Business segment manager for Automotive, your main responsibility is to ensure and develop a competitive position with a portfolio of component solutions, services as well as standard and engineered products. You will be a part of the Industry segment and Component management organization, working close with the global team to ensure continual business growth through working with key customers globally, developing and securing our business plan.
The Business segment manager role for Automotive includes:
• Overseeing the continuation of the Automotive program in accordance with the already established project plan, reporting progress to SGM-BOP (business projects)
• Working with our global network on key markets as well as key customers (SAM) and developing the business segment strategy, gathering market requirements and foresee future trends
• Planning and securing of our component strategy as well as for the introduction of new component solutions
• Understanding customer needs and initiating products for the automotive area, working close to Product management and the engineering organization
• Cooperating with our global ECC's (Engineering Competence Centers) working with customer projects and development of future solutions
• Taking business decisions which will allowing and developing our automotive sales growth working close to sales and marketing
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a genuine technical understanding and strong business interest. You have some experience from the automotive industry and understanding of sales and business development. Having experience of developing strategies and business plans are merited as well as experience in machining and manufacturing and experience of marketing in a global environment. The position involves a number of international contacts and business travel, therefore, fluent spoken and written English is a requirement.
