Purpose & Mission
In this role you will be driving our strategy, business performance follow-up and improvements from an overall financial perspective and responsibility. You will at the same time contribute to our Divisional strategy development and implementation together with our business unit and functional leaders on our journey towards net zero, whilst taking lead in the energy transition.
Your mission as Vice President Business Control is to support our division in the ambition to achieve sustainable profitable growth. You will advise the divisional President and the divisional management team in business control from a global perspective, assess the financial impact of divisional strategic directions, and be an active member of the Energy Division management team. By working in a proactive way, e.g. follow-up of trends and forecasting process, your analysis supports divisional result predictability. You will also be engaged in and driving Mergers & Acquisition activities.
Who you are
To thrive in the role, you 're passionate about business and financial performance and sustainability. You are experienced in business and finance/ business control especially in a manufacturing industry environment or have profound insights and experience in areas linked to the energy landscape and its transition.
You have a holistic understanding of the business landscape and like to identify the deeper industry and customer needs to understand the business drivers and develop the impactful opportunities from a business control angle.
You 're comfortable interacting and building business relations on many levels. Organized and structured to keep several trails in parallel and successfully follow through without losing track. A team player comfortable working cross organization and cultures in a truly international environment.
You bring extensive experience in various Microsoft Office applications including Power BI.
About the job
You will work closely with our five business units, sales companies, and the finance community within Alfa Laval. Location of the position is Lund, Sweden. Your main focus will be:
Contribute to the definition and implementation of the strategy in the Division by translating strategy into business plans and assist in the establishment of measurable targets and KPI's to ensure targets are met.
Evaluate financial implications of various strategic decisions, builds scenarios, and recommend actions.
Promote initiatives to achieve growth and cost savings as well as strengthen responsiveness to customers.
Ensure accuracy of financial information used in the Division to support the improvement of both commercial and operational related processes.
Drive improvement of financial analysis, planning, and reporting processes in the Division.
Provide analysis support to assess business risk exposure and provide input to define risk mitigation strategies to reduce impact on business performance. Identify and manage potential risks relating to contract agreements.
Being a business partner working with other functions in the organization to drive business improvements and change - part of both tactical and strategic decisions in our Divisional management team.
Direct and functional leadership of the team of business controllers.
What you know
We believe you are a seasoned business controller professional with the capability to work in the unknown and communicate it in a clear and structured way. You have several years of relevant experience linked to business controlling and in an international setting. Additionally, you have experience from a matrix organization and an understanding of how to manage change and drive process improvements across various business areas.
You have a graduate degree in finance, business or alike. Besides working experience, we believe that you are passionate about sustainability and like to constantly grow your knowledge. Excellent communication skills, and fluent written and spoken English is a requirement.
