To enable this accurate and accessible cross-country data is very essential. We are now looking for a Business Analyst to be part of this exciting journey, by helping simplify and standardize the data understanding and implementation, while delivering business requirements.
THE ROLE
As Business Analyst within Data Management, you are an expert on data governance and accountable for gathering and providing end-to-end data, from source to delivery. You are also responsible for creating a standard data library and maintain consistent use of data across the organization.
Responsibilities also include:
Identify and define data domains, data elements, categories based on the purpose of use (reporting, exchange, storage) and related assets for all countries (starting with SE, FI)
Define conceptual and logical data models to enable communication towards business, IT (different projects) and data management
Identify, communicate and (where needed) improve processes for data capture, data flow and data storage.
Map services to information to data to integration to processes to IT systems/platforms (data library)
Be the liaison for specified data areas to be the subject matter expert of high-level understanding of data (data sources, type of data, technical platform, access, classification)
Support in projects to figure out the information/data part of the work, which would be part of the solution architecture for the program/project
Clarify data ownership, product ownership and IT ownership (data governance).
Collaborate with IT to build an efficient and modern data layer based on requirements
Collaborate with Product owners to set KPIs and define business rules
Keep updated about the latest trends, tools, governance and best practices to help in decision making.
This role can either be placed in our Stockholm or Helsinki office, however, we have a Hybrid working model which means that you have the flexibility to choose where you work steered by your work tasks and team.
You will report to Manager, Data Asset Management, Sailaja Kunapuli who is located in Helsinki.
WHO YOU ARE
The role will be adapted after the person who joins, but we are looking for a person with at least few years experience in data management and think that you have most of the following knowledge and experience, if you miss some you are still welcome to apply.
Hands-on experience in data management/ business information architecture
Good knowledge of current and technology trends in data library, data services
SQL knowledge, general understanding of types of databases (RDBMS, Graph etc)
Experience from Agile Ways of Working
Good communication skills in English to be able to effectively collaborate with business and IT as well as cross border Nordic teams.
If you on top of that have experience in using data modeling tools as well as data catalogs that is a plus. So are data management related certifications as well as knowledge of any of the local languages (Finnish or Swedish). But none of these is a must.
