Do you have a passion for dairy cattle breeding, a master's degree in agriculture or advanced technical degree in agriculture and want to be part of VikingGenetics' Genetic Development team?
VikingGenetics is one of the world leading providers of bovine genetics and our unique combination of breeding for health traits as well as production has led to a position as domestic market leader in the Nordic countries and a strong global player.
Now there is a chance for you to join our team and be part of this development.
We are looking for a new Breeding Specialist. You will be a member of the VikingGenetics Genetic Development and Breeding department and carry out tasks related to screening of the Nordic dairy populations for suitable breeding stock, bulls for semen production and heifers for embryo production, in cooperation with the other breeding specialists.
The results of the work contribute to obtaining genetic progress in the Nordic dairy populations. A significant part of the work tasks will be related to the development of the VikingEmbryo program, including communication with recipient herd owners, embryo logistic and to ensure that KPI goals are met.
Our Swedish office is in Skara, but the location can be discussed as it is might possible to sit with our partner Växa, which has offices all over the country.
To be considered in this role, you must have a master's degree or advanced technical degree in agriculture including animal breeding courses.
You have a passion for dairy cattle breeding and enjoy being part of a progressive and innovative team, but you are also able to work independently.
You are open-minded, ready for a changing work environment and an active team player. Practical experience would be an advantage, but not a requirement, and experience with project management will be appreciated.
Good communications skills are essential both spoken and written in English and Swedish.
We offer you an exciting job with opportunities for professional and personal development. We value initiative, enthusiasm, responsibility and the right balance between creativity and quality in all solutions.
Are you the new Breeding specialist that VikingGenetics needs? If so, do not hesitate to upload your application and CV. For more information about this position, contact Lars Peter Sørensen, Genetic Development Manager at +45 4026 4031.
