As Biogas Product Manager you will belong to a highly competent and committed team of 50 employees in eight countries, all with the same mission, to help our customers to upgrade their raw biogas to pure Methane. Methane is used to run cars, trucks, boats, generators, heat houses etc. Our CApure Biogas upgrading process does this with a minimum consumption of energy, outstanding reliability and lowest life cycle cost.
We support our customers with a 24/7-service, and we are constantly connected to all our delivered plants. Our head office and European factory are in Kalmar, Sweden, where approximately half of our team is located. We have an extensive growth plan including both Europe and North America.
In this role, you are based in our head office in Kalmar and you will lead and coach a team of appr. five persons. Main task in this position is to ensure that our product portfolio is always the most competitive. Monitoring trends by meeting customers and being close to our Sales team are important parts of the role. You are responsible to make sure that our products comply with prevailing market directives.
In your department you have some of the most competent experts within the biogas industry, meaning you will support our organization, customers and suppliers with technical advises. You initiate and suggest product enhancements where you interact closely with both colleagues, customers and suppliers.
You are responsible for keeping product and process documentation updated and ensure that our products comply with all local laws in our customer's countries. The Product Manager works close with Sales, this to support them in the sales process and better understand and meet the needs of our customers. You also work near R&D and Production, this to optimize product cost, quality and performance.
The job involves a few business trips every month, including overnight stays.
You are member of the Wärtsilä Puregas Management Team and reports to the Managing Director.
Qualifications:
You have a technical or chemical university degree and you have experience from gas or petro-chemical applications. You have probably a couple of years' experience from a similar role in senior management.
As Product Manager you need to have both a large interest to our products and good technical knowledge. Good business acumen and a distinct social ability are important as well as strategic thinking, structure and a great personal motivation.
As a person you are a team player with an innovative thinking and with a clear and inclusive leadership. We attach great importance to your personal qualities and commitment.
Since our company language is English, we see that you write and speak English fluently.
Your IT-skills are high, and experience from ERP systems is valuable.
