Introduction and Overview
We are looking for a new driven Bids & Tender Lead for our Medical Devices business segment in Sweden. The Medical Device business is to a very large extent driven by tenders. It is essential that we respond to published tenders in a timely manner, with high quality, accurate and competitive offers. Our Nordic Bids & Tender Department is essential for our success and ensures critical inputs from team members across the Nordic as well the EMEA and global organizations.
The team is responsible for all phases of the Tender Life Cycle: Shape, Make and Evaluate. The Shape phase starts with understanding customer needs, as well as providing consultancy about relevant and viable product options. In this process relevant procurement models are often discussed and explored with external customers. During the Shape phases it is expected that you as B&T Lead will develop VBT together with other functions for the best possible Tender outcome. Next comes the actual making of the J&J tender response. Here would you own the creation of our tender response through a series of activities that include Sales, Marketing, Pricing, and Sustainability to mention just a selection of involved partners. Once a customer contract has been awarded the department handles the contract during its life cycle using advanced IT based tools to analyze Tender outcomes to continue develop future Tender responses.
In addition to responsibilities related to tenders the department also supports our Sales Department in crafting offers and setting up price agreements for non-tendered products as well as other commercial offers.
Bids & Tender Lead - Sweden
The Bids & Tender Lead is an important role when it comes to developing Tender Management in Sweden while improving the Public Tender landscape. This includes - but is not limited to - engagement with local trade association Swedish Medtech as well as Public purchasers.
The Nordic team consists of 7 Bids & Tender Representatives located in Finland, Denmark and Sweden. You will together with two other Bids & Tender Representative Sweden be working towards the Swedish market. This position will report into Bids & Tender Manager Nordics. The position is located in Solna (SE) and some travel may be required.
Objectives of the position
Understand the overall market development and requirements (e.g. value based procurement, outcome based tenders) and adapt the SE B&T organization and capabilities accordingly
Process ownership of Tender/Contract management. This includes leading project team during the Tender Shape phase
First point of contact in country legal process and responsible for negotiating contracts with customer. This includes questions regarding Public procurement
Owner of local Tender evaluation and responsible to share outcomes with Organization
Secure processes and build new solutions in making the tender management process more efficient and clearer
Support Nordic management and keep the local ownership of all SE B&T tools used to secure Compliance and Control within the country
Proactive tender and contract management within all phases of the Procurement and Contract lifetime
Support Nordic B&T organization as needed and as possible
Qualifications - External
University degree in law or business
3 - 4 years of working with Public procurement
Extended knowledge about Swedish Public Procurement legislation and Swedish Contractual legislation.
Fluent in Swedish and English is a requirement both written and verbally.
An industry background in Healthcare, MedTech or Pharma is a plus
What you will need to succeed

Understanding of Value Based Tendering and experience to develop both internal and external relationships
