Role Summary
We play a pivotal role in electrifying the transportation sector and shaping a more sustainable future. Our battery development team is at the forefront of innovation, creating environmentally friendly solutions that drive positive change.
The development of an electric vehicle possess a whole new set of challenges and it is crucial that the new energy source, the battery cells, are transported in a safe and regulated way. Job Responsibilities
As a senior design engineer you will work closely together with our team to design the necessary component for ensuring a well-functioning battery pack. You would be part of the battery housing frame design subgroup.
Your assignment includes:
Designing components in CATIA based on specifications, simulations and know-how
Handle issues such as mechanical strength and casting manufacturability
Working collaborative with cross-functional teams for procuring, installing, simulations, testing, production and service
Representing your components in the requirement balancing for the complete system
Affecting road map and future development within your component area
Who You Are
We place a high value on personal drive, good communication skills and team spirit. Taking responsibility for the assignments given to you is important and will require an ability to structure the work and balancing several parallel processes.
You have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, or similar.
Work experience in the automotive industry as a design engineer or from a relevant cross-functional area is considered a merit.
CAD-knowledge is a requirement, experience in CatiaV5 and Enovia is meriting.
Professional fluency in English is a requirement, and Swedish is a merit.

This Is Us
We are a vibrant and driven team who cares for each other and our final product, being responsible for the development of battery housing components, such as the battery housing frames, top and bottom covers, sealings/gaskets as well as the battery junction box housing.
Our group consists of a diverse mix of people and functions, including design engineers, cost engineering and technical cleanliness engineering, as well as a scrum master and product owner. We follow a hybrid setup between home and the office in Södertälje. We are working closely together with the other teams across several departments and the goal is to have a working climate that leaves room for both productiveness as well as laughter.
The development work for energy storage is performed in agile cross-functional teams containing engineers from design, simulation and testing as well as representatives from purchasing and production. This cross functional setup leads to increased efficiency which is important as we are moving forward with development at a fast pace.
