The Institute of Clinical Sciences is one of six Institutes within the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg. The Institute represents fifteen different research areas engaged in the research and education at the University of Gothenburg.
The employment is in the department of radiology, within the Institute of Clinical Sciences. The research group associated with this employment is conducting research within magnetic resonance (MR).
Job assignments:
As assistant researcher you will be responsible for the installation and testing of dedicated magnetic resonance scanner software for water diffusion imaging. It is planned to employ the imaging software in patients, once satisfactory functionality has been verified with phantom scans. You are expected to assist with the image acquisition and you will be responsible for the image reconstruction. With the help of other researchers, you will be involved in the advanced analysis of diffusion image data. You will also participate in the publication of research data.
Qualifications:
We seek a person with completed university/college degree in the areas electronics, biotechnology, biomedical physics or other relevant areas according to the position posted. Knowledge in imaging physics and MR-physics is desirable. Competence in C-programming and scripting languages is highly preferred. We highly value personal drive and responsibility. Accuracy and the ability to document completed work is important. You can collaborate well and perform tasks independently. You have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in English. Personal suitability is valued highly.

The employment is a temporary employment for 12 months, 100 % and placed at the Institute of Clinical Sciences, Department of Radiology.
