The Digital Buildings Business of Schneider Electric provides Intelligent building management solutions to help customers create a productive and comfortable environment for its occupants, reduce energy consumption and run building operations efficiently. As a critical part of this building ecosystem we also provide solutions for fire detection and monitoring of fire detection systems installations.
The Fire Detection Panel team is part R&D and is developing Fire Detection Panels, including HW and SW applications. The detection panels are interacting with distributed sensor systems in buildings and with a Fire expert cloud application.
Schneider Electric has a challenging opportunity for a passionate individual to assume the role of Senior SW developer/Architect for our Fire Detection software solution in Lund, Sweden.
In this role you will act as a technical lead for the embedded team including planning work. You will also work with design and development of FW and SW applications. You will ensure best practices are followed while being responsive in a dynamic and iterative Agile development setting.
Wish list of skills and experience
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Experience Design patterns, Test Driven Development and Agile SW development
• Experience with IP communication and serial communication protocols
• Experience with C++, C and Python
• Experience with Linux, Yocto and time critical applications
• Experience with User Interfaces
• Experience in planning development work
