What you will be a part of
Electronic Defence Systems, a business area of Saab, is one of the world’s premier suppliers of solutions for surveillance, avionics and systems to detect, locate and protect against threat. Future Sensor Systems is responsible for our extensive initiatives within Multi-Functional Radar systems and fighter Radar system. In addition the division will support the business divisions with resources and technical expertise. Its performance will be measured and evaluated according to product profitability, quality, time and cost. Department Develop and Integrate Microwave Subsystem is responsible for the microwave subsystems within Future Sensor Systems. This includes technology strategies, design and verification of microwave subsystems, microwave design, antenna design and measurements. The department has approximately 70 employees divided into 6 units.The Antenna and Transmitter Design group has 10 employees and is responsible for antenna and high power transmitter design.
Your role
As an Antenna Designer your work will include:
- Design of various antenna elements and arrays
- Specification of microwave transmission lines such as waveguide components
- Advanced electromagnetic simulations
- Participation in concept studies to establish requirements and new products
- Verification and measurement of our designs
Part of the work will be performed together as a team, but the work also contains tasks which you will handle by yourself.
Your skills and experience
We expect you to have good interpersonal skills, self-motivation and interest in how the antenna is realized and how it works in its context. You take responsibility and have a willingness to learn and gladly works with different tasks.You are probably an engineer with university education with microwave or antenna experience.Swedish citizenship is required for this assignment.
