We currently have the following job opening;
Interior CAE Engineer - Occupant safety
As a CAE engineer working with occupant simulation you will optimize and evaluate interior safety systems and their performance in different crash scenarios. Systems like safety belts, airbags as well as seats, and instrument panels are important to protect the occupant in case of a crash. Your task is to develop and optimize how these systems work together and to communicate with both the design teams at CEVT as well as our suppliers to have their systems and components behave the best possible way.
Part of the work will also involve correlation work between the virtual sled models and real physical crash tests of sleds. The goal is to develop high fidelity occupant models that predicts the physical crash test behaviour well. The main tools that are used in the daily work are ANSA, Oasys Primer, LS-DYNA and uETA.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Build FE models, assemble subsystem and dummies into FE models of the vehicle interior and body (sled modes).
- Execute occupant simulations and FMH simulations and analyse results.
- Cooperate with the colleagues in Geely Research Institute, located in Hangzhou Bay.
- Communicate results and design proposals to attribute engineers and design engineers.
Profile and Background
- M.Sc. Mechanical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, or similar.
- Minimum 5 years of experience from safety simulations within the automotive area.
- Experience with occupant simulations using LS-DYNA.
- Ability and interest to interact with people outside your own organization.
- Ability and interest to work in cross functional and international teams.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Basic knowledge in Swedish.
- Knowledge in Chinese (Mandarin) is a merit.
