hela Sverige We have an exciting opportunity for an Analytical Technology Strategy Team Lead in the Analytical Science & Technology CoE to strengthen our team! In this role you will work within Technical Operations, Science and Innovation (TOSI), a key function of our Pharmaceutical Technology & Development (PT&D) organisation.

The PT&D Organization is responsible for drug product design, development and technical support for drug substance and products throughout the lifecycle.
TOSI is a multi-skilled Global organization based in 7 countries who provide the expert technical support for AstraZeneca commercial small molecule drug products, product robustness, manufacturing technology strategy and Packaging Development & Technology.
Technology Strategy Teams are a critical element of the delivery of our Global Manufacturing Technology Strategy. They are multi-functional with representation from sites, technical and enabling functions and provide the link between the Technology Strategy Process and implementation of new technology across our supply network. The Analytical Technology Strategy Team Lead role will be focused on analytical technology and innovation and it's part of the Analytical Science & Technology CoE, a team of highly skilled analytical leads providing support to sites and testing laboratories at global level.
What you'll do
You will establish, direct and provide strategic, tactical and scientific leadership to a multi-functional team, engaging representation from various Operations functions. Developing a vision, strategy and roadmap for the analytical technology area, determining which new methodology and technology should be pursued and how much resource should be invested. You'll gain approval through appropriate Governance interactions contributing to the way we make decisions as a valid specialist.
Other accountabilities:
* Developing tools and processes to assess commercial and development portfolios for technology development and implementation opportunities in partnership with broader Operations functions/sites and the process network.
* Creating relevant programs, defining the necessary skills and resources required, providing medium to long-term costs and planning for analytical technology implementation across the Operations network.
* Supporting Lean and process standardization across Operations to ensure the right analytical technologies are implemented at the right time for the right products.
* Partnering with IT to identify installation and system integration requirements and develop solutions, ensuring smooth implementation of new analytical technologies.
* Partnering with Regulatory to define a regulatory change pathway for implementation of new analytical technologies and assure delivery of specific technology development projects.
* Developing the Technology Strategy Business Process as an active contributor to the wider Manufacturing Technology Strategy Network.
Essential requirements
* Education to BSc or PhD level and experience in an appropriate field (e.g., Chemistry, Pharmacy, Analytical & Pharmaceutical Sciences).
* Extensive work experience of analytical sciences in the pharmaceutical industry with experience of developing, validating and transferring analytical methods across a broad range of analytical techniques.
* Working knowledge of analytical requirements to support new product development and commercial manufacturing including Quality Control laboratory testing and work processes.
* Experienced in analytical IT systems such as LIMS and electronic laboratory notebooks
* Broad knowledge of the interdependencies between analytical science & technology and other areas of the business.
* Enterprise attitude, collaborative approach, business acumen and knowledge of lean tools Technical leadership, with demonstrable ability to influence at a senior level. Ideally with proven track record of working with leadership teams and scientific communities in area of expertise.
* Ability to think strategically and conceptually, create a vision, manage the change and gain support from others.
* Demonstrated project management and leadership for new technology evaluation, business case development, and successful implementation.
We see that you are passionate about innovation, technology and analytical sciences, with an appreciation for the external landscape (collaborations, industry focus) and experience of technology development and implementation.
Preferred requirements
Working knowledge or experience in the development and/or deployment of automated analytical instrumentation as well as automated data analysis/processing would be highly desirable.
