Accountant at Scania Credit
Scania Credit is a group of financing companies within the Scania Financial Services organisation. We specialise in financing and insurance solutions to Scania customers on emerging markets in more than 10 countries, mainly in Central and Eastern Europe. Our group, together with representation offices and operational subsidiaries, is managed by our dedicated staff of about 70 people in offices in Almaty, Belgrade, Bucharest, Kiev, Ljubljana, Sarajevo, Sofia, Södertälje, and Zagreb. The Group Head Office, as well as the legal unit Scania Credit AB, is based in Södertälje where we offer cross border financing solutions to customers in Eastern Europe and Middle East.
Job description
You will work in an international dynamic environment at the accounting department of Scania Credit AB and report to the Chief Accountant. As you will be working with daily accounting and various investigations you will also play an important role in concluding the company performance in its Group Financial Reporting (in HFM). You will also be responsible for some legal and fiscal external reporting for Scania Credit AB. You will furthermore be involved in the planning of funding of the company through the Scania Treasury organisation. SRS and process development is something we emphasise, part of your role will therefore be to actively work with the Chief Accountant to streamline the processes within the department. Over time you are expected to take a larger role in supporting the colleagues throughout the group in using the accounting software iScala as well in order to spread best practice. You will be having contacts with Scania Credit personnel in our various locations, Swedish authorities as well as internal and external suppliers.
Job requirements
We search for a colleague with some years of practical experience from accounting, enabling you to assist the Chief Accountant in closings as well as qualified investigations and process development. Your skills and/or qualities should preferably include:
• Adequate theoretical background on university level
• Very good knowledge in Excel
• Interest in how IT supports a finance department
• Good knowledge in written and spoken English
It would be beneficial if you have experience from:
• A Financial Services company
• HFM and iScala
• Working or studying abroad or working in an international environment
• Process development work
