We are developing end to end network solutions like the Evolved IP Network (EIN) solution, Network Integrated Wifi (NIW) solution and Software Defined Networking (SDN) solutions PAIB/DUIB is developing the new network architecture with applying SDN principles at the network edge and Colud systems to open new
revenue opportunities and costs saving for network operators.
The Service Provider SDN vision, developed in cooperation
with telecommunication providers, expands in the following ways:
Integrated network control - a unified control layer controls the data center and network as an integrated entity, in order to deliver the best user experience.
Orchestrated network and cloud management - a unified approach that includes legacy network management and new cloud management systems. It is this end-to-end orchestration that enables
flexible service creation, which in turn makes the network dynamic, adaptive and agile
The position includes managing the solution systemization activities and alignment with involved PDUs and product lines.
As Senior System Manager, you play a key role in specifying comprehensive and complex technical architectures and solutions
together with product management and DUIB Technology translating Ericsson opportunities into solutions within the IP and Broadband Area.
You will work in a globally distributed team. This position will require travel.
Areas of responsibility:
• Lead system architecture definition for SDN and SDN enabled Cloud System
• Lead solution system management activities on specific SDN solution feature
• Responsible for e2e feature systemization and requirement definition for the SDN solution
• Interact with product management to define and specify requirement on end-to-end solution features
• Coordinate efforts with different node PDUs, working closely with system managers and solution architects
• Provide technical consulting and e2e solution design expertise and transfer knowledge to development centers
• Work closely with the region EP teams to translate the customer needs, and technology opportunities into detailed technical offering, solutions and proposals.
• Interact with customers (external) and understand the requirements.
• Analyze customer requirements and network designs. Help building value proposition or business value towards customer need.
• Follow and analyze market trends and competitor solutions
Qualifications - Internal
• Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields with 10+ years of relevant experience
• Knowledge in SDN, Open DayLight, Cloud Systems, packet core, IP, O&M
• Very good knowledge of network architectures and e2e related aspects, protocol stacks, as well as network services and applications
• Solid experience defining system architectures and data models
• Excellent skills in coordinating and cooperating with multiple stakeholders
• Business and customer understanding of IP transport and mobile networks
• Proactive & responsible communication, written and spoken
• Creative problem solving ability and the drive to think strategically
• Fluent in English language, knowledge of additional languages is a plus
