We are looking for a Software Engineer for Test and Test Automation in Product Development Unit Microwave & Mobile Backhaul (PDU M&M) based in Göteborg, Sweden.

PDU M&M is responsible for the development of microwave system products such as MINI-LINK and has R&D activities at sites in Göteborg and Borås in Sweden, as well as in Milan Italy, Budapest Hungary and Beijing China. We maintain a good co-operation between business management, market units, product management, supply and design.

Competence development is key and we continuous offers courses, seminars on a regularly basis.

As a Software Engineer for Test and Test Automation you will work closely together with system managers, system architects and software designers in cross functional teams.

You will perform test analysis, design and develop test cases based on customer and architectural requirements.

As a Software Function Test Developer you will play a key role to ensure we develop world class Microwave products. Functional test shall verify new and legacy functionally with a high focus on system requirements, feature descriptions and characteristics done with a black-box perspective.

Your main responsibility will be development, maintenance and improvements of automated tests for developed features.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role you need to have following competences;

• You enjoy working in teams with people from other disciplines.
• You enjoy working with problem solving and troubleshooting
• You have the ability to evaluate test results
• You have the ability to see the big picture as well as details.
• You are able to prioritize and make decisions whenever needed.
• You have excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

You should also have:
• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Excellent knowledge of Java language and object oriented programming
• Good knowledge of Ethernet/IP networks, especially for Layer 1, 2, 3 protocols (e.g.VLANs, QoS, Provider Bridge, LAG, MPLS)
• Familiarity with programming methods for Ethernet/IP, PDH and SDH test instruments (Spirent, N2X, ANT-ONT families, Anritsu)
• Familiarity with programming methods for RF test instruments: spectrum analyzers and power meters
• General knowledge in network layout and MBH products
• Hands-on experience of MINI-LINK is an advantage
