We're looking for an experienced Web Editor to maintain and develop the digital profile and capacity of the organization.

Stockholm Environment Institute is a dynamic, expanding workplace that employs around 100 people from 28 different nationalities in an activity-based office in central Stockholm (Garnisonen), and with an additional 140 employees in centres around the world.
The role
We are looking for an experienced, organized and proactive Web Editor to join our Corporate Communications Unit. This is a central role where you will maintain and develop the digital profile and capacity of the organization.
You will work with employees across our ten office locations around the world to manage and improve SEI's digital activities, including editing of content in English and working with our web agency to improve the SEI website. You will also support the creation of user-focused, high-quality and innovative content on SEI's digital platforms.
The Corporate Communications Unit is one of two units in the communications department at SEI Headquarters. The unit's goals are to enable better messaging, provide quality assurance and promotion of content, manage SEI's branding and visual identity, and lead the improvement of our digital ecosystems.
This is a temporary contract (approximately 12 months) to cover for an employee on parental leave.
Key duties and responsibilities
Support the global communications team on the use and improvement of our digital channels, and give advice for content and platform questions
Coordinate tasks in our editorial planner and web helpdesk inbox
Publish content to the SEI website and provide quality assurance on content and formatting of work posted by others
Along with colleagues, work with our digital agency to improve the SEI website
Coordinate design work by our agency
Provide quality assurance of branding and design work for visual consistency
Manage SEI's LinkedIn account, including follow-up and analysis of analytics
Edit digital content in English
Create and maintain documentation to support communications processes and improve the quality of digital content
Coordinate SEI's internal newsletter, including creating, sending and improving it
Promote and support the use of the intranet and create content when needed
Conduct training for new and existing staff on web content creation and publishing, intranet use, and related topics

Who you are
We are looking for an organized and proactive digital communicator with experience producing and editing content on the web. You will be one of SEI's global experts on our digital platforms, and will enable others in the team to create and share their content while upholding the integrity of SEI's brand.
Because this is a central role at a global organization, you need an inclusive mindset and the ability to balance conflicting priorities.
Formal qualifications and knowledge
A degree in communications or a related field
At least 5 years of experience working with editing, web publishing, website improvements and social media
A track record of creating quality digital content, news stories, videos and/or graphics
Proven experience with coordination of teams and project management
Experience with web content management systems (ideally WordPress)
Experience in monitoring, analysing and reporting with digital analytics
Experience creating images for the web using Adobe Photoshop or similar
Experience using other tools in the Adobe Creative Cloud is an advantage

Personal skills required
Advanced English writing and editing skills for digital content such as news stories and social posts
An interest and the required patience to build our capacity as a team
An ability to find innovative solutions and see outside the box
Strong social skills and ability to contribute to the team spirit of our global team
A diplomatic approach and an inclusive mindset
The ability to set clear expectations, seek clarification, and be responsive
Experience working in collaboration with web developers and/or designers is an advantage
