Sex år har gått och vi har vuxit till ett ambitiöst och kreativt gäng på 500 stycken. Vi har blivit utsedda till Årets företag -07 (skryt), ökat omsättningen med 13 570 % (statistik) och lyckats bli marknadsledande i Norden (fakta). Klarna är idag delägt av Investment AB Öresund och Sequoia Capital - ett bolag som såg samma potential i Google, YouTube och Apple Computer, som i oss. Det tycker vi är en bra början.
Klarna's journey continues. During the spring of 2010 we expanded to Norway, Holland and Germany. The marketing department is working to promote the Klarna brand in all markets and is responsible for some of Klarna?s external websites (with a main focus on klarna.com). Since Klarna is expanding we need to strengthen our team with some additional skills. The web development is still in a start-up phase, therefore there are good possibilities for the team members to influence and change the way of working. At the marketing department we work closely with each other and other departments within the company.
Apart from web development, the marketing department includes competence areas like AD, copywriter, project leader and PR. The department offers the possibility to develop yourself both on a personal and professional level. The work is often done in short iterations. We are looking for you who can both develop new front-end functionality and present it in a good way.
Your tasks will vary a lot but they could for example include:
• Finding a solution for how the different status updates from Klarna employees could be presented on the web site
• Deciding, together with other employees within and outside the marketing department, what information should be shown on the site
• Mashing together feeds from Twitter, Facebook, a few blogs and last.fm via
http://feedstitch.com/ to get the answer in JSON
• Designing a solution and implementing it in jQuery to avoid load on the server
• Evaluating your work to find out what could be improved
We believe that you are used to learning new technologies and API:s and that you think creation of front-end design and functionality is really really funny. You are focused on details and proud of delivering quality work. You don?t need to know everything from the beginning, but we expect you to be interested and curious about new technologies and solutions.
Must have:
• a very good knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• experience of jQuery or similar js frameworks
• a few earlier projects that you can show us
• the ability to create simple, clean and good-looking user interfaces
Good to have:
• knowledge of Flash
• experience of Drupal, Joomla or other CMS
• knowledge of PHP and MySQL for simple scripting
