The University of Gothenburg tackles society's challenges with diverse knowledge. 56 000 students and 6 600 employees make the university a large and inspiring place to work and study. Strong research and attractive study programmes attract scientists and students from around the world. With new knowledge and new perspectives, the University contributes to a better future.
As part of the Institute of Medicine, the School of Public Health and Community Medicine conducts extensive teaching and research in general medicine, occupational and environmental medicine, biostatistics, epidemiology, public health science, global health, health economics, social pharmacy, and social medicine. We develop interdisciplinary research within the framework of the UN's global goals for sustainable development, with a focus on Goal 3 (good health and well-being) and Goal 8 (decent working conditions and economic growth).
At the department, teaching is conducted in several professional programs and in our two master's programs in Global Health and Public Health Science. The master's programs are taught in English. We are now looking for a university lecturer, primarily to serve in our two master's programs. Service in other programs may also be included. The area of expertise for the current position is migration and health. The research area is relatively young, and competence in qualitative methods is essential to assess quality and relevance in studies of lived experiences and the migration process, which are central scientific bases for teaching in the subject area.
