Within the group Customer Service, Workshop and Owners Information Exterior we create information for Volvo's global aftermarket. Our mission is that all our resellers shall follow our framework regardless of geographic location. We work closely with our products in the early stages of development with focus on the exterior parts of the vehicle. The group consists of cross-functional teams within the standards setting, parts engineering, method, time and we work with constant improvements to refine and improve our working processes. As Time Study Engineer you are responsible for defining the time it takes to perform workshop operations in the workshop. The work consists of interpreting workshop methods, breaking down the various steps down to the last nut and bolt and insert this in our standard time production system for time setting. We work cross-functional and you will be responsible for one or more functional groups within the exterior range. To get a complete picture of the methodological description, practical verification in the workshop is required. The information is used globally and you will be in contact with dealers and workshops on a daily basis.
Main responsibilities
• Break down and analyse workshop methods
• Define time regarding each step of such methods
• Summarise total time for workshop methods in standard time production system
• Practical verification of time studies on vehicle
Required qualifications
• B.Sc. in Engineering preferably with focus on Automotive, or relevant work experience
• Practical workshop experience is preferred, Volvo repair shop is meritorious
• Good PC skills and knowledge of MS Office and Lotus Notes
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
• Driver's License B
• Experience in Volvo's aftermarket systems are meritorious
