Our Global R&D team works on a diverse range of products and technology including intelligent camera systems, battery sipping security sensors, advanced access control solutions, bespoke user interface devices and the Verisure Central Unit which acts as the "brain" of the system enabling communications between all devices and the Verisure backend.
About the role
Based in Malmö, your responsibility is to secure resources for test activities in the R&D platform products and determine the coverage required in the various projects in collaboration with testers and other Test Teams.
You are expected to design, collect, organize and brush up test documentation as well as contribute to improving processes and methods within the R&D Platform by acting as an ambassador for software testing in the organization.
As a Test Leader, you also own and develop the software release process for the R&D platform SW. This will include leading the planning, facilitating, monitoring and reporting software test results.
Additionally, you will participate and provide expertise and input on testing efforts during the Development Team Scrum meetings. To do so, you will be accountable for defining quality metrics and provide expertise for both the development and test teams.
The Test Team is responsible for verifying and securing our gateway software releases and contribute to ensuring the high level of quality we constantly aim and strive to deliver to our customers.
The whole team consists of approximately 20 persons: 16 software developers and 4 testers.
About the candidate profile - What you bring
We are looking for natural leader with a strong interest in leading and motivating people. You can set clear and challenging goals, helps team members to identify and develop skills to support their career interests, identifies and solves conflicts and obstacles in the team and for the team.
You have a proven track record in leading testing activities equipped with an in-depth knowledge in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines which enable you to solve complex problems and take new perspectives on existing solutions.
A successful candidate also has outstanding communication skills and the ability to clearly convey the scopes of the problems by identifying key issues, inputs, stakeholders and outcomes.
You enjoy working in an environment with quickly changing requirements but with a long-term vision.
Qualifications
* University degree or equivalent
* At least 3 years of relevant experience in the role
* Professional experience with testing and test management
* Practical experience with different test methodologies
* Excellent technical communication skills, both written and oral
* Proficient English skills
