As Technical Expert within Operational Sound Quality you will be responsible for coordination of the long term plan of method development, annual delivery of the NVH strategy and deliver research work to define new requirement specifications and corresponding verification/validation method. Operational Sound Quality covers for example electrical and mechanical sounds from climate systems, electrical control motors, fuel systems and door closing sounds.
The section Body & Chassis NVH is a part of NVH Center VCC. The section is responsible for carrying out tests-, analysis and target settings within Road NVH, Wind Noise and Operational Sound Quality. Our ability to develop and implement new strategies and solutions will be the key factor to success. The main focus for the NVH operations is to develop cars fulfilling both customer demands and legal requirements. By organizing and developing core competence and advanced methods regarding sub system and overall vehicle level NVH and sound quality, our work support the programs in delivering premium products.
Main responsibilities
• Annual delivery of the Sub-attribute Strategy
• Coordinate the long term plan for method development
• Support the concept studies to implement efficient NVH solutions in our cars
• Initiate and drive annual studies and benchmark
• Obtain, share and use new research, new methods and perform competitor analysis
• Deliver education material and carry through education within Technical Specialist area
• Support in contacts with authorities and organizations
• You are the expert and recognized as the go-to person.
Required qualifications
• You have minimum a M.Sc. in Engineering.
• You have extensive experience (minimum 10 years) from within NVH
• You are fluent in English (written and spoken)
