CorPower Ocean is a global leader in wave energy, with a technology that has shown game-changing performance. Your work will contribute to the global transition to renewable energy by unlocking one of the largest untapped sources of clean energy on earth.
Role
At CorPower, our commercial team is on the lookout for a highly motivated individual with a background in the renewable energy sector. This role is pivotal in enhancing our sales and business development efforts through specialized expertise in business case analyses and modelling. Based in our Stockholm office, the successful candidate will bridge the gap between engineering, business development, and sales teams by leveraging a deep understanding of our technology and product offerings, linked to customer needs. This position demands excellent collaborative abilities and a robust engineering acumen to interact effectively with both our commercial and technical teams.
Responsibilities
Craft and refine business cases and financial analyses for full-scale installations, focusing on metrics such as LCOE, IRR, NPV, ROI, and conducting sensitivity analyses.
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities by aligning our value propositions with customer needs.
From inception through to execution, provide financial analysis support for commercial projects, ensuring alignment with financial and technical goals.
Support in securing Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) with off-takers. Previous experience structuring project financing and PPA agreements would bring added value to the role.
Engage in discovery calls alongside sales representatives to understand prospective clients' needs, crafting tailored solutions in response.
Compile and prepare technical documentation and responses for RFIs and RFQs.
Develop and refine internal modelling tools for improved efficiency and accuracy.
Conduct preliminary yield assessments for potential sites, supporting project viability analyses.

Skills and qualifications
A master's or doctoral degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Renewable Energy, Marine), Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred.
Demonstrable experience in technical sales support and managing applications involving sophisticated technology solutions.
A foundational understanding of, and interest in, data science with hands-on experience in data modelling (using Python and other software tools) is highly desirable.
Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial modelling, including cost analysis and risk assessment, will be advantageous.
An analytical mindset with a comprehensive technical knowledge base, coupled with a keen interest in ocean energy and modelling.
Creative problem-solving skills, a patient demeanour, and a commitment to seeing projects through to completion.
A strong work ethic, excellent team collaboration skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, agile team environment.
Exceptional communication skills in English are essential for success in this role.

Our Ideal Candidate:
Is not only passionate about advancing renewable energy technologies but also embodies a blend of analytical rigor and creative problem-solving. We value individuals who are committed to excellence, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and can navigate the complexities of cross-disciplinary projects with ease.
CorPower Ocean has a highly diversified team with many nationalities and backgrounds, all working towards the same goal. This is something we are very proud of. We are not perfect yet but we hope you share our aim to reach a higher equality.
