Global Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting department is part of Group Finance. We are now looking for our next colleague, a Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting Compliance specialist, based at Polestar Lindholmen in Gothenburg.




Let us describe the challenge we offer
The Polestar Group Finance is in total around 70 people. In the Global Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting department you are part of a team of currently 6 people.

The team is responsible for ensuring compliance with financial reporting frameworks. This will involve analysing new contracts and transactions and guide the organisation on what the appropriate reporting should be. This will involve regular contacts with the external auditors. The work also includes formulating the groups accounting policies under IFRS. The team also prepares quarterly reports and the annual report and will ensure that these are filed according to external requirements.

Working in the Global Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting department gives you a big opportunity to a wide circle of contacts within the Polestar Group, working globally and cross-functionally, as well as getting a comprehensive view of the financial activities within the group. You will also work with the core business of the company and combine the financial reporting with the operational view of the business.

What you'll do

* Responsibility for the IFRS accounting policy for the Group
* Decide on accounting treatment related to all kinds of agreements and projects
* Guide the organization on financial reporting impact on new business cases
* Preparation of Group Annual Report and Quarterly Reports
* Ensure financial compliance for the Group Annual Report and Quarterly Reports
* Ensure financial compliance for the Subsidiary Annual Report - quality review
* Ensure Annual Report filing compliance - Group and subsidiary
* External auditors primary contact and co-ordinating different auditor tasks
* Extensive contact with subsidiaries and shared service centres
* And other ad-hoc tasks

Who you are

To be a great fit for this position we believe you have:

* University degree in Finance
* At a minimum 5 years of relevant experience from e.g. audit firm or similar position at an IFRS reporting company
* Extensive IFRS knowledge required
* An understanding of GAAP differences and reconciliation to Group reporting GAAP
* Capability to translate and apply IFRS regulations into operational complexity
* Experience of US Listing
