Quality and Projects section within Power Propulsion System main responsibilities is to lead various sizes of engine projects. We all have the responsibility to lead the overall development within engine engineering.
This group of mainly project leaders but also have a quality manager and operational development personnel in our group. There is a high level of diversity in the group and about 50-50 split between the genders.
As System Project Leader you will lead engine projects with different content sizes. It could be a complete new developed engine which normally handled as a decoupled program or smaller project with installation exiting engines in new cars. You will work closely with various development groups within engine engineering. As SPL you are responsible for time, technique and cost for your program and report this further towards UPL within Vehicle Propulsion.
The role is challenging and you will get a chance to improve your project leading skills. Normally you start with smaller program and have the chance in future to lead unit programs or decoupled programs which require a high level of technical knowledge, being familiar with the organization and well established ability to do prioritizing to deliver programs in time with correct cost and technique.
The department is organized into six sections: Advanced Engineering, Base Engine, Project and quality Management, Boosting & Exhaust Systems, Analysis & Verification and Dressed Engine.
Project Management Engine Engineering, are now looking for a System Project Leader.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead the department's project
* Monitor the department's delivery to the project
* Identify and raise the need for corrective action to the department's leadership forums for projects
* Manage and control technology development and balance the requirement to order
* Lead & coordinate issues between departments
* Participate in or lead targeted efforts at technical problems
* Communicate project status in the relevant fora
* Develop prerequisites for existing projects
* Lead SPL-meetings
Minimum Qualifications:
* M. Sc Mechanical Engineering or similar education
* Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a project leading role
* Eligible Drivers licence
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience of product development and project leading as SPL
