hela Sverige As a System Development Engineer specializing in traction inverters and DC/DC converters, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing these advanced power electronics systems for our BEV trucks. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, system architects, mechanical engineers, and software developers, to ensure the successful integration and performance of these power electronics systems.
The job also consists of hands on work were you get the opportunity to spend time in both test rigs and vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system development, experience in the automotive industry, and a passion for clean energy technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize power electronic systems for BEV trucks and buses. Including Requirement analysis, verification, and validation.
Conduct simulation, modeling, and analysis to ensure the performance and reliability of inverter and DC-DC converter functions.
Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 26262 for functional safety in automotive systems.
Drive innovation by staying updated with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Test and validate our systems, troubleshoot issues, and support product integration.
Participate in system-level architecture and design discussions to meet performance and efficiency targets.
Contribute to documentation, including technical specifications, test plans, and reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Vehicle Engineering or related field.
Proven experience in the design and development of power electronics, inverters or DC-DC converters.
Experience with tools like MATLAB/Simulink, Vector and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
Strong knowledge of battery electric vehicle systems and their unique challenges.
Familiarity with Automotive Functional safety (ISO 26262) , Diagnostics (UDS 14229) and Cybersecurity standards (ISO 21434).
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to a diverse team.
