What we offer?
In-Car Digital is one of the fastest growing areas within Automotive today, where competition is not only limited to traditional automotive competitors. Innovative and fast moving companies like Google and Apple are influencing competition heavily.
Connectivity ART is part of In-Car Digital product stream and responsible for enabling the connected car. Technical areas for the ART include for instance Telematic Services, Connectivity and Positioning. The telematics system includes functions such as Volvo On Call functionality, mobile app, Call Center Services, telematic ECUs and important interfaces towards IT backend systems.
What 'll you do?
As System Designer Telematics you will be part of an agile development team and will take a natural part in the development of the functionality. Within Connectivity ART, development teams have a mix of software developers, testers and system designers. With main focus on system design, you will make sure that our customers get the best possible system with regards to functionality and quality within area Call Center Services.
We are organized in agile scrum teams using the Scale agile framework (SAFe), which brings us new challenges to our daily work as well as a lot of possibilities.
You and your skills
Your daily work will first of all include interaction with the rest of the development team, but also include creating new future functions, interaction with product owners, other system designers and architects, responsible persons for SW- and HW, developers of HMI, mobile app software and cloud solutions, as well as suppliers. You are probably the team member with broadest overview of the functionality you are implementing.
You are skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Most probably you have a MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent. Furthermore you are strategic- and business-minded. We think that you have experience working as a Product Owner and experience from agile software development and understanding in the areas of efficient SW test methods. It is preferably if you have experience from working in an international, multi-site environment

Business acumen, integrity and courage are characteristics that describes you very well. We are looking for a self-driven individual, someone who is positive and analytical. You need to be able to present the results in a structured and understandable way and take the ownership for the product. Due to the seniority of the position, we expect integrity, confidence, as well as respect and support to the team work and collaboration with all internal and external parties.
