ABB's High Voltage Products team provides products which help enhance the safety, reliability and efficiency of power networks while minimizing environmental impact. Our technology leadership continues to facilitate developments in areas such as ultra-high-voltage power transmission, enabling smart grids and enhancing eco-efficiency.
Within the Supplier Quality organization, our mission is to ensure that purchased materials for our production units always keep high quality level. As Supplier Quality Engineer you will be responsible for one or several product areas and perform preventive quality assurance along with supplier development. This position also entails to audit and approve potential suppliers as well as to implement Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
SQ is a team of 3 persons today to be growing to 4-5 during 2020. The team are setting up a structure to be working over the whole NEU HUB with Supplier quality in close cooperation with SCM and TC.
Your responsibilities
You will be doing Global/Regional Supplier audits
Supporting supplier company qualification for the regions
Participating qualification for global/regional suppliers
Supporting supplier activities in your own HUB for category management and another HUB's
Implementation of BU initiatives (e.g.: SPE, BU processes competency ownership)
SD activities (to start in 2019)
Leading the process qualification at supplier's site for related processes
Leading problem solving for related category suppliers

Your background
You have previously worked in Quality Management.
You have experience in performing audits.
You have knowledge in Supply Chain Management.
You have strong personal leadership and managerial skills.
On a personal level, you are committed, ambitious and enjoy to independently plan your time.
You always review work critically and have an analytical and methodical mindset.
Excellent social skills and the ability to communicate with people from different business levels and cultural backgrounds are vital for your success.
