Summer Employment for Students, Product Strategy & Vehicle Line Management
We are looking for 3 students to join the following departments during the summer:
Long Range Strategy & Portfolio Planning
Product Planning
Corporate Innovation Office
Product Strategy & Vehicle Line Management (PS&VLM) is a new function within Volvo Car Corporation (VCC) with the responsibility for all product matters, from strategic work to end of life of the products. This function is responsible for business development through product creation and for maximizing the profitability of all our products. PS&VLM also manages the VCC project plan and the product decision process towards Product Board and VCC Board. The new function includes Product Planning & Offer Management, Propulsion & Architecture, Vehicle Line Management, Operations Management & Planning, Special Vehicles and Volvo Cars Monitoring & Concept Center.
Job profile Long Range Strategy & Portfolio Planning:
• Support in administrative tasks within the department, for example Nomenclature database updates
Your profile:
• Student at University level or academic degree
• Student in engineering, natural sciences or equivalent
• Programming skills are desireable
• Skills in handling multiple tasks
Job profile Product Planning:
• Market analysis of competitors product offers
• To document and summarize competitors offer structures in tables, text and pictures in a structured and orderly manner and draw conclusions from information
Your profile:
• Ongoing higher level education within Business or Technology with a Market approach or equivalent
• Ability to be structured and methodical
• Analytical skills
Job profile Corporate Innovation Office:
• You will be setting up a database with customer oriented ideas from external sources and analyse the external ideas
• You will also perform research through external sources to be used for analysis of of market potential in one of our projects of innovation
• This job would be very self-driven and will be business and opportunity oriented
Your profile:
• Business or Business and Technical higher education
• Studies in Statistics is desirable
• Innovation Management courses are meritorious
• Ability to be self-driven and open-minded
• You should be consumer- and business oriented
General profile for all the above positions:
• Ability to work independently as well as enjoying teamwork
• Well structured and communicative
• Analytical skills
• Good knowledge in MS Office package
• Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish, oral and written
