HR Center of Expertise (CoE) Sweden Volvo Groupis right now looking for a strong Health & Safety Specialist,as we are expanding the Health & Safety team with an additional resource.
The primary focus of HR CoE Sweden is to achieve an alignment of Volvo Group HRstrategic goals and direction. We work cross all organizations and brands forSweden, such as Volvo Trucks, Volvo Penta, Volvo Construction Equipment etc;more than 20.000 employees. We also work closely with our global teams toidentify and address country specific needs and challenges. HR CoE consists of 14experts in 4 different areas; Health & Safety, Labor Relations,Compensation & Benefits and Talent & Leadership. HR CoE Sweden is apart of the Group HR function at Volvo Group and you will report directly tothe Vice President HR CoE, Sweden.
Mission/Purpose of the Job
Drive and be responsible for different Health & Safety projects on SwedishVolvo Group level. Consult the Volvo Group organizations about their needs atcountry level and translate that into Health & Safety activities. Interpretlaw and legislation and support organizations in compliance assurance. Monitorthat working conditions are harmonized at country level when appropriate. Supportthe organizations implementation of Health and Safety strategy, policies,methods, tools and guidelines within area of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Be part of a Health & Safety Functional working group, with Health & Safety representatives from all different organizations and brands for Sweden, where we coordinate and drive Health & Safety agenda on national Volvo Group level
Together with different stakeholders, set the coming 5 years plan for Swedish Health & Safety agenda for Volvo Group
Drive and be responsible for different Health & Safety projects, in order to improve H&S culture, awareness, processes, way of working, etc
Develop and manage Health & Safety programs, tools, required by the business
Provide advises and support the different organizations in Health & Safety expertise and compliance assurance, such as interpret national laws and agreements
Monitor organizations work environment activities in country level are equivalent in accordance with global policy requirements, and lead harmonization when needed
Ensures that communication of policies and guidelines and Health & Safety activities at country level are harmonized within different organizations, ensure maintenance of Swedish Health & Safety intranet information
Ability to identify Health & Safety knowledge and experience within different organizations in order to convey best practice in a country level

Preferred Educational and/or Training Qualifications and Certificates
University Degree, preferable master level in Health & Safety
Formal training in leadership, communication and people skills would be valuable
Preferred Experience and Knowledge
Minimum of 2 years senior Health & Safety management experience and also cross-functional background is valuable
Minimum 4 years' experience with ability to demonstrate/develop deep knowledge and understanding within area of health & safety
Experience from operational work in Health and Safety required
Professional understanding of country laws and regulations, and deep understanding of the labor market
Strong project management skills, leadership and influencing skills
Strong business acumen and ability to translate business needs into Health & Safety priorities and actions on country level
People and result oriented senior Health & Safety person, with the ability to work and manage multiple priorities in a complex environment
Strong organizational, interpersonal and multi-cultural communication skills
Experience of coaching and facilitation
Good understanding of the Volvo Group businesses would be valuable
Necessary Language Skills
Proficiency both in Swedish and English language is required.
