We are now looking for you, who would love to be employed as resource consultant at WSI Engineering and is an experienced:
Strategic Analyst
Consultant will be part of a team driving value engineering, benchmarking, and component cost analytics. Consultant will work closely together with to evaluate the needs and challenge cost assumptions and identify cost improvement levers including business model change for customers.
Consultant has a solid background on thorough cost analysis and improvement projects focusing on design-to-cost, either as a consultant or within an industrial company. Consultant has a solid technical understanding to be able to collaborate with customer technical experts, same time having a solid commercial understanding to analyze related metrics.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Perform cost analysis on materials and components incl. manufacturing process
• Component cost breakdown based on bottom-up shadow calculations considering market standards
• Involvement in development and procurement phases to ensure design-to-cost focus
• Establishing and driving purchasing design-to-cost processes, analysis tools and methods
• Supplier benchmarking and active consultation on material cost roadmaps
Education/Experience
• MSc in Engineering, PhD is a plus
• Experience working with cost engineering and in supply chain within an industrial company or as consultant, or MBA
• Experience in working cross-functional
Specific Skills/Abilities
• Strong skills in quantitative discipline and critical thinking as well as computer skills to address complex coherences at the interfaces between development and procurement.
