hela Sverige ValueOne is looking for an experienced and result driven Sourcing Manager Product Development with excellent knowledge in end-to-end Supply Chain for a consultant assignment at a manufacturing company in Stockholm. The assignment must be filled as soon as possible and will transition to permanent employment after completion of the assignment.

The role
The Sourcing Manager Product Development is accountable for implementing and driving the sourcing strategy within specific areas such as Chassis, Seat or Electronics. The responsibility includes meeting targets and KPIs, utilizing preferred suppliers, introducing new suppliers, managing risks and costs, ensuring quality and compliance, setting strategy direction, controlling spend, and conducting market benchmarking analysis. You oversee supplier management throughout projects, develop sourcing strategies, establish supplier partnerships and agreements.
Main tasks:
Develop and implement platform sourcing strategy to meet customer needs and enhance market competitiveness.
Manage supplier relationships to achieve quality, delivery, and cost goals throughout development.
Optimize end-to-end supply chain from supplier selection to production unit delivery.
Negotiate commercial terms and agreements for optimal value.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
Lead cross-functional teams for cost savings, supplier performance improvement, and risk mitigation.
Identify new suppliers and technologies to enhance platform performance and reduce costs.
Oversee logistics for timely component delivery to project designers.
Develop and implement sourcing concepts and supplier scouting.
Create supply chain definitions and manage associated risks.
Define and coordinate production plans with R&D.
Collaborate to refine supply chain requirements with R&D and product management.
Ensure alignment of product ramp-up plans with management and R&D.
Coordinate supplier and production ramp-up plans.
Experience and competencies
The ideal candidate for this position should possess a Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, business or economics, or equivalent experience in strategic sourcing or similar roles. You should have excellent knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes, proficiency in business analysis including cost breakdown analysis, and strong negotiation and contract management skills. Familiarity with lean concepts, engineering principles, and IS/IT systems is desirable. Previous experience in sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain roles is preferred, with an engineering or technical background being advantageous.
Effective relationship management, communication, and negotiation skills are essential, along with analytical abilities to evaluate supplier performance and financial acumen to assess total costs. The candidate should thrive in pressure situations, demonstrate logical thinking, and excel in managing multiple projects simultaneously. You should be results-oriented, proactive in finding solutions, and possess excellent business English proficiency. A high degree of understanding complex problems and the ability to drive strategic initiatives independently are also necessary for this role.
