We seek an experienced Sourcing Manager to join our team and strengthen the area of Services focusing on optimizing the category of Consultancy services. In the role you will be responsible to further develop the category and continuously improve the current way of working cross-functionally with our internal customers.
Your role
Working as an experienced strategic purchaser at Scania, a Sourcing Manager, you are responsible for sourcing products or services according to the company's needs at the best achievable Cost, Quality, Delivery and Sustainability while considering the latest available Technology.
You will be part of aligning the company's needs across multiple functions in order to cooperate and drive the tender processes. You will also lead supplier negotiations, present results to decision boards and conclude commercial agreements to create the best value for Scania. This is often in close cooperation with Traton and Volkswagen and active participation in the different internal stakeholder organizations is necessary to reach the best results and to make a difference.
Your main task will be to;
• Drive, coordinate and implement strategic sourcing activities within your area of responsibility to manage the demands, secure competitiveness and delivery.
• Investigate and develop improvement activities to improve delivery, boost competitiveness and improve efficiency in managing the area
• Actively developing existing and future suppliers in keeping with Scania's high standards.
Your profile
We believe that you are passionate about the work as a purchaser and that you have previous experience from it or from a related business area as well as a university degree. If you have previous experience from purchase of Consultancy services or worked in a global purchasing organization is an advantage.
We are looking for a person with a true commercial drive and a strategic mindset, with a sound ability to develop and maintain a broad network of contacts both internally and externally and who dares to challenge the current way of working.
You are well organized, enjoy a fast tempo and can manage short-term actions without losing focus on achieving long-term objectives.
