Global Purchasing is responsible for the procurement of products and services for all of Scania's units around the world. Global purchasing responsibility is centralised at Södertälje. To cope with the challenges we face, we are now looking for new staff who are interested in business and technology and who want to help develop the Scania of the future. Now, the group Commodity Electrical needs to strengthen the team with a strategic and business-oriented person for a position as Sourcing Manager.
Your responsibilities
In your role as a Commodity Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for challenging, developing and optimising Scania's global supplier base within your segment. Your main job will involve creating strategic plans and running activities with a view to improving quality, delivery precision and overall costs for the range for which you are responsible.
You will be negotiating and entering into commercial agreements and working actively on the development of existing and new suppliers in accordance with Scania's stringent requirements. Your work will take place in close cooperation with project procurement, quality engineers, design and production.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a commercial focus and who simply loves to do business. You probably have a Master of Science degree with a few years' experience of commercial or technical production work, ideally from the engineering industry. You are business-minded, analytical and focused on results, and you have an ability to create strategic overall solutions in order to attain targets set. You will be in contact with a lot of people on an international level, so we want you to enjoy travelling and you need to speak and write English well.
