Do you want to join a dynamic and passionate team? Are you a person that understands the management of COTS (Commercial-off-the-shelf) applications and gets energized by seeing how reliable and sustainable IT solutions based on the latest technology are the keys to enabling it?
In this role, you will be a part of a global team of Solution Engineers working together with DPO and manage several COTS applications environment for the Volvo Group (some of the areas that we cover are: engine diagnostic, test automation, SW build, etc.).
Role mission & context
As the Solution Engineer, you will be a part of the stable team working with COTS applications providing support, license management and application management to our business stakeholders. You will perform business analysis and ensure that the solution's requirements are clear and accurate, providing business/process knowledge and solution expertise within the solution delivery team or in a project. You also perform functional solution support, managing applications, verifying that they are up to date.
Key responsibilities:
Provide functional application support within the dedicated solution area.
Support continuity management for the solution(s).
Cooperation and planning of deliveries together with DPO.
Participate as a technical expert in business activities/projects and provide support.
Manage license installations.
Manage backlog and prioritize activities together with DPO.
Mange technical upgrades.
Critical competencies and skills for the position:
Experience within support organization.
Possibility to have an overall technical view and mange different solutions and have a capability to go into the details of different deliveries.
Experience with COTS application is merited.
Experience with license management is merited.
Experience in working in the Product oriented Teams.
A good understanding of both business and IT and the capability to actively use Information Technology to develop the business.
Good understanding of process and solution dependencies.
Complete proficiency in English are required
Experience from Agile methodology is a benefit.
