We are now looking for a Solution Engineer, for the Business Engine Platform department of VFS Digital and IT. This position is part of VFS Global Headquarters. The location for this role is preferably in one of our Global D&IT Hubs (Gothenburg, Sweden or Greensboro, NC USA. For internal candidates that are based in another VFS location, the location maybe considered in one of our Regional Hubs (Curitiba, Brazil; Lyon, France; or Wroclaw, Poland), or alternatively on an exception basis.

AS A SOLUTION ENGINEER YOU WILL:
• Work to understand full solution capability and functionality, becoming a true expert
• Interact closely with business stakeholders, across multiple departments and countries
• Analyse and structure business requirements to understand and propose solutions in line with system capabilities
• Support the solution/system development process by providing business and technical best practices and identifying functionalities necessary to cover business needs
• Support release management, ensuring proper communication and full testing of changes
• Validate the functional and technical specifications and test cases
• Perform change management activities and prioritization of changes
• Recommend metrics to measure the performance of the solution in run-time (operation)
• Assess and make configuration changes on solution/system
• Together with technical and business teams, work on identifying, documenting, and resolving issues, incidents, and problems
• Identify opportunities for solution/system improvement, creating customer value
• Provide expertise and knowledge in business capabilities, functional analysis, process flows and mapping with applications, group of applications, or applications sub-portfolios
• Support project teams with the implementation of solutions
• Oversee managed services of solutions and applications in different markets globally
• Facilitate and chair meetings and workshops on solutions/applications
• Author presentations, spreadsheets, reports, and instructional material on solution's functionalities
• Participate in projects regarding systems development or acquisition, deployment, and rollout

YOU HAVE:
• Bachelor's degree, specialized diploma, or equivalent experience in Computer/Information Science, Business Analysis or Finance preferred
• 5+ years' experience designing solutions, able to understand business needs and translate them into user stories, functional and technical specifications, demonstrating strong knowledge and experience in requirements breakdown, prioritization, and classification
• 5+ years' experience working as analyst in IT projects for financial services companies
• The ability to facilitate modelling and analysis of business processes and operations from a requirements management perspective or design concepts for products (processes, services or systems)
• The skills to identify risks and impacts regarding the functional solution from a business analysis perspective to propose changes in business processes, IT implementations and/or operations when necessary
• Ability to work in multi-cultural and diverse environments, on-site or remotely, together with communication experience at all levels of the organization
• The ability to effectively challenge business stakeholders thinking in a positive and constructive way
• Proactivity, driven with high perseverance
• Strong problem-solving skills, identifying, structuring, monitoring, and delivering results
• Strong planning and analytical skills
• Strong people skills, building and maintaining good relationships with stakeholders and teamwork
• Advanced level of English (oral/written)
• Additional European language is desirable
• Availability to travel internationally
• Experience working with multiple solutions across multiple countries is a plus
• Experience in authoring business processes using BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) is a plus
• Experience in decomposing complex IT systems into re-usable components is a plus
• Experience or ability in understanding and interpreting Anti Money Laundering / Know Your Customer (AML/KYC) regulations from compliance perspective is a plus
• Experience in training key-users of an application/system is a plus
• Good knowledge of financial services and regulated markets is a plus
• Good knowledge of processes in Credit Management, Collections Management, Repossession / Inventory Management, Document Management is a plus
