Solution Architect at Scania
Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck and bus manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. Battery electric drivetrains, autonomous driving, 5G, and IoT technologies are disrupting our industry and we rise to the challenge. We are now looking for a highly motivated solution architect who wants to contribute to the development and strengthen our team!
You will be part of a like-minded team working with global IT solutions within Scania's Service Delivery process with multiple cross-functional between Sweden and Belgium. The team consist of different roles such as Scrum master, Data analyst, Product Owner, Developer and Service manager. As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for system maintenance and future scaling, creating roadmaps for futureproof solutions. You have a good ability to visualise and develop sustainable technical cloud solutions that meet business requirements in accordance with Scania Enterprise Guidelines and technical platform. You will
In the Solution Architect role, it is important to be able to produce different architectural diagrams on different levels and to present and write technical documentation in English, for a technical as well as a non-technical audience. The right candidate understands different integration techniques such as API and Streaming and understands when certain integration patterns should be applied in an enterprise environment or not. It is important that you have technical expertise that extends to different business areas and sufficient knowledge of architecture development for cloud and on-premise solutions.
• Be driving and keeping the IT architecture up to date together with the team
• Work tightly with key functions in our new global SAP solution within the spare parts area
• Ensure reuse of functionality and ensure compliance with company-wide architectural principles and guidelines on standards in technical architecture
• You will work actively on reducing technical debt within Scania
• Together with other architects and our development teams ensure that the solutions are resilient and allow for change, evolution and scale
• Enter ongoing and new projects and gradually become globally involved in the IT architecture for the spare part area
• Lead architecture work in ongoing projects and line organization initiatives interacting with key business and IT stakeholders
• Participate and contribute to discussions and introductions of new techniques and trends in the Scania IT landscape
• Be able to grow a global network within IT and spare part/aftersales area

You are
As a person, you are truly interested in other people's opinions. You value collaboration, sharing knowledge and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. In addition to that you are proactive, self-driven, and have the ability to work independently and in a team. Besides that you have good analytical & logical skills. Last but not least, you have an ability to see the whole picture and importance of getting things right - and at the same time working organised paying attention to the details.
In order to suceed in this role, we also seed that you have
• A couple of years of experience in a similar position within IT architecture and development of sustainable technical cloud solutions
• Extensive experience in cloud solutions like AWS and Azure.
• Experience in cross-functional teams in enterprises and communication with different business levels
• Strongly believe in working according to agile (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and seeing the value and how it can bring a team together
• Excellent communication skills in English in both speaking and writing
We see it as big merit if you have one or more of the following:
• Experience with SAP and deep and broad knowledge of IT and technology
• Supply chain knowledge
• Extensive experience in modelling architecture
