Solution Architect, Product Structure & Configuration
In line with our mission to become a software-centric company, we are now contracting a Solution Architect in the area of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). If you are an analytic team player with an interest in how processes and information flows can support our Product Development, you might be the person we are looking for.
What's in it for you?
We have a great team, with mainly Solution Architects, that contribute to the Process development in the R&D organization. As a member of this team, you will work with understanding and analyzing the needs of the organization, balance the requirements of different stakeholders, and deploy the new solutions in our Car programs. Just now we have a specific focus on how we will manage information supporting the Software development, and how we shall define and implement the end-to-end process for Product Configuration.
You will work both with solving short-term tasks, as well as long-term strategic matters. Often, we work closely with the Digital Core organization that is responsible for the tool development.
Also important is that we work agile and that we have fun. Combining this brings a lot of energy to the team and we hope that you also can thrive in that environment.

You and your skills
Key qualifications for this position include:
• BSc or higher degree in engineering.
• Previous experience working with Product Structures and Product Configuration.
• Solid skills in written and spoken English.
• Great facilitation skills
• Demonstrated ability to be a team player in a fast-paced agile environment
Meritorious qualifications for this position:
• Previously gained knowledge about Volvo Cars concerning
o PLM applications (KDP, Teamcenter)
o Product Documentation
o SW development processes
On a personal level, we are looking for a person who is delivery-focused, proactive, and self-motivated. It is also important that you have the skills to build relations to executives, colleagues, and project teams.
