The preparation for our digital future is done in many different parts. One success factor that we need is a platform that enables team to faster deliver their compound digital services that complement and enhance our vehicles, enables new business models, and increase the pace of innovation throughout the enterprise. The development is done in a human centric mind-set using Agile/DevOps practices at Design and Virtual Hardware Cluster. The purpose of the digital cluster is to support the hardware development process from product design via product development, manufacturing engineering and to geometry assurance of the physical product in the plant. This responsibility also includes product document management (PDM), such as 2D, 3D and all technotes throughout the complete product lifecycle, from Design to being virtually verified and built by Manufacturing Engineering. This cluster is one of the key enablers reduce lead time for engineers.
What you'll do
In the role as Solution Architect you will work in close collaboration with business stakeholders, fellow architects, colleagues, and teams to set the architecture roadmap within the Design and Virtual Hardware cluster. Develop stable solution architectures that realizes the system's functional requirements and quality attributes while ensuring that architecture principles are followed. Ensuring also that technical solutions are supporting the roadmap for each product team.
Required experience
• 5 years+ experience as solution architect
• Experience of working within the PLM area.
• Experience of working with both COTS and own developed applications.
• Experience of working in the cloud (Azure) and understanding of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Microservices and Serverless
• Ability to drive a long-term thinking approach to elaborate the "big picture" and pragmatism to translate it into achievable short-term objectives.
• Understanding of agile delivery methods and processes (SCRUM, SAFe, DevOps) and capability of supporting agile product teams by providing advice on impacts and risks.
• Understanding of Evolutionary Architecture
• Working with green field applications is seen as a bonus
