Our team is responsible for the Central Unit in the customers' alarm system which contains a Linux and a real-time based embedded system.
The Central Unit is the brain that communicates with the nodes (e.g. smoke detectors, magnet contacts, door locks and cameras), in the customers home and is also responsible for the communication to our Verisure Backend.
We are working with many communication technologies, WIFI, ETH, Radio, DECT, VPN, cellular etc. Our job consists of maintaining, improving and feature extending the alarm application in the Central Unit.
We are looking for a Software Test Engineer to be part of our cross-functional team. You will perform exploratory testing as well as making sure testing is in the scope for new features and development. We expect you together with the team to consistently deliver key increments with high quality and demonstrate agility in your way of working to meet and adapt to the needs of the cross-functional team.
Key responsibilities
* Conduct exploratory testing of our alarm system with a focus on the central unit and how it interacts with the rest of the system
* Requirement analysis, test effort estimation, test case documentation, and defect/issue reporting on new features
* Product and feature evaluation through exploratory testing and observations, both from an engineering point of view and from an end customer point of view.
* Quality assure software releases and document the test procedures
What you bring
* 3+ years of experience as a SW tester
* Knowledge of embedded real-time systems
* Ability to work alone and in group
* Thriving for structure, able to prioritize and organize your own work
* Have patience and be able to accept the long lead time
* Good English skills
