Software Test Engineer to be part of a software development team responsible for design, implement and execute automated testing of Cepheid's C360 connected platform. Cepheid C360 is a cloud based software platform providing administrative and analytics support for Cepheid's GeneXpert product family.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for automated test development for the product.
Provides software verification documentation including, but not limited to, Test Plans, and Verification Reports
Responsibility includes interacting with cross-functional stakeholders from SQA, Marketing, Service and support organizations, and project/program managers during the development and delivery of the product.
Perform duties as an individual contributor and/or team member with 100% hands-on work.
TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience (in years):
Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of related work experience or Master's degree in field with 3+ years of related work experience.
Knowledge and skills:
A minimum of 3-4 years professional experience
Software test automation background with Java, preferably in Unix environment
Experience from developing automated tests, e.g. JUnit, Selenium, Silk, and experience with test-driven development
Knowledge of API Testing
Knowledge of BDD, Cucumber framework
Comfortable in using open source tools/technologies for Test Automation.
Ability to work across several layers of the application, from back-end database through to the UI
Experience with REST, JSON
Experience with databases
Experience with Git, Linux (command line)
Experience from Agile/Scrum team work
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Ability to be self-motivated, proactive, curious, accountable and flexible
