We are now looking for a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our Partner Ecosystem Engineering team at our office in Berlin, Germany.

Hive's work with partners is critical to our success since Hive is not a standalone solution - therefore, the Partner Ecosystem Team is woven into everything we do across our three product pillars of Hive Analytics, Hive Optimization and Hive Video Operations. The Hive Partner Ecosystem product team and the Partner Ecosystem Engineering team works closely together. The team's focus is on developing new products and features, supporting the needs of our Fortune 500 enterprise customers. The team does this by designing and delivering software components that enable our Hive Streaming technology into our video platform partners' applications, and by developing new Hive Streaming applications based on partners' published APIs/SDKs."

As Software Engineer you will work together with your team members to design, develop and maintain core APIs and SDKs that interact with third-party components such as video players, provisioning services, and content management systems. Besides purely technical duties, you'll work closely with customers and partners, ensuring that Hive works correctly and according to specification in their environment.

You will...
• Design, develop and maintain core APIs and SDKs
• Review code and sync
• Work closely with the teams' Product Owner, to get info about support tickets that are urgent
• Base on priority, work on support/fixes or on specific projects
• Work with projects, for example, new integration or some service needed by the Partner
• Together with the team, every Thursday do Mob Programming. This means, that you will decide on a task and work on it all together as a team, to share knowledge but also cause it's simply fun!
In this position, you get the possibility to own projects (from design to implementation!) and to learn about mobile development at a growing SaaS company.
Previous Experience
• A minimum of 4 years of experience as a software engineer
• Good knowledge, or preferably working experience, within HTTP-based video streaming protocols
• Fluency in nodeJS/JavaScript/Typescript
• Knowledge of Java, Scala and HTML
• Knowledge of video streaming players
• Proven track record in the integration of complex systems with third-party components
• Great communication skills in English, both verbal and written
